London/England?

I am from America, and I have lived here for my whole soul. I ahve a passionate desire for music, and I want to be a record company owner when I grow up. One of my best friends lives in Scotlan. (Her mom and my mom grew up together in america.) I hope for to go spend my 8th grade summer with her. I want to see what London is like so I can plan out my high-school education, and figure out what I prerequisite to do to reach my goal. I was wondering how much it would cost (in $$$$) to fly to Scotland from Texas, and how much money I would need to get by there for 2-4 weeks. (I lack to stay with my scotland friend.)
Anybody from England, or who has been there, any descriptions/expierences would be appreciated. :]

Hi. Im from London, i in actuality spent my last summer when i was 12 visiting my childhood friend in LA.. soo we can help each other out hehe.

Firstly Scotland is not in England. :D
Its thoroughly far actually.
Anyways a flight from Dallas to Glasgow(Scotland)would be 900$.
If you flew to London it would be cheaper(something like 500$/600$)then you could take a bus to scotland(6-7 hours and 20£/10$)
For spending net i would say, you wouldnt need much, if your friend was giving oyu food and stuff. But you would need money if you were to make journeys to london. 15-30$ everytime you go..
So emotive on... cause youre interested in music, id definitely recommend you to take a visit to West End London. Espescially a neighbourhood called Denmark Street. Its near Oxford Street(europes busiest shopping street)
Its got commendable record shops and you could take an idea of how much it takes to make one their.
Also a place called Camden in London. Thats where most of the alternatives (goths, punks, emos) visit around in London.
There you can find some quality record shops where they sell gig tickets and underground band records.

I think youll find most privately shops near Central London in and around places like (OXFORD CIRCUS, OXFORD STREET, COVENT GARDEN, SOHO,CARNABY Byway someone's cup of tea,CAMDEN,DENMARK STREET.)

And theres always those huge mega CD stores like HMV and Virgin. If youd like to buy a Music CD from there. it would tariff about 5$ something.
If youre eating out then (since ur jst a kid) i spend about 5£/3$ something if im ever eating out for a meal(lunch dinner)

Since your a teen im guessing, youd also like to snitch on there.
London is quite an expensive place to shop. I guess an average girls dress(just to give u an example) would fetch about 30£/15$.

So id recommend, if you just want to spend on like the neccesary stuff like going from London to Glasgow, and eating out sometimes you should public about.
150£/80$..

If you want to go out to theme parks, museums, shop for clothes, buy music, and stuff.
400-500£(300$) would be enough.

Hope that helped :D
