London.....???

im imagined to be goin to London 4 my Senior class trip!...(cant wait!!!!) i have 3 concerns....1: what's the age limit to be skilled to drink & buy alcohol?(hopefully 18!)
2: can you really walk the streets while smoking a blunt/joint?(that'd be awesum!)
3: what are the guys like?(such as goodies, freaks,...adorable, hott,
okay...etc)......

is there neone who could help me out?

I dunno, why don't you ask your parents about your demand to get picked up by English guys, get stoned publicly and get drunk outta your mind. I'm sure they'll have an responsible for you just like that.

Remember that girl that disappeared in Aruba after getting picked up by some horny guys? Same character.

How can people who live in London (England) afford to go to work?

I'm planning a plunge to visit my aunt and uncle in Cambridge. We were talking about a day trip to London and the prices of travel were shocking. The line fare was bad enough, but I learned that the fare on the tube is four pounds. That's a shocking amount (even when the exchange rate was much much better it would still be over $5). I can buy a monthly move pass in Atlanta for $60 (about 30 pounds). I think if you don't have a pass the fare is $2. I make happen London has a much larger transit system, but are salaries in London that high? How do the people who live there afford it? Doesn't the government subvene public transportation? I know they have some system to limit the number of drivers in the city, but the best way to keep people from driving their cars in London is to pilfer public transport (trains and tubes and buses) a much cheaper alternative. But my question is, how do Londoners afford transportation?

How can they in trouble with not to?

Most jobs in London attract "London Weighting" allowance which is supposed to cover some of the transport costs.

If you buy a travelcard for £6.30 you can expeditions on all tubes, buses, etc in London all day.

When you buy your ticket in Cambridge ask for the best option, you might be able to get one ticket that does it all.

Is the London Underground a bad service to Passengers, which you was involved in?

Old stations, old traons, precious ticket prices, delayed trains, and signal problems are all part of the London Underground. Once I had to wait 25 minutes for a entourage on the Central Line, because somebody waled on the track in Leyton Station, and the trains were delayed. Anybody agrres with me that the London Secret is a bad service to commuters, and poorly run, and why?

Big Daddy waled on the track? I didn't know what this means? - They walked on the track? - in that prove your 25 minute delay was due to that person's stupidity, or do you expect the tube drivers to just run over people that are inconveniencing you?

How to dial a London phone number from payphone in London airport?

Hi this may seem like an plain question but I will be studying in London and arriving in airport today. I need to call my friend who lives in London from the payphone. What do I dial? The motherland code and the city code? Confused. Thanks for your help!

Well, you indubitably don't need to dial the country code, because you're in the country already.

However, you should probably dial the city (field) code. Without knowing which airport you arrive in it's impossible to tell, but both Gatwick and Stansted are well outside the parade-ground for London codes.

One thing, though: the area code always begins with a 0 when dialled within the country, which is left off when dialled internationally. So if you have a digit in the form +44 20 8888 8888 you should add a 0: 020 8888 8888.

How cold is it in London in February and how long is a ride from Hampstead to London?

I'm planning a trek to London, and I'm not sure whether to go in February or April. Obviously April is warmer and probably more comfortable, but February is easier for me to do.
Also, how hanker does it take to travel by underground from Hampstead to central London (where all the touristy places are) ?

The ride out is nuts at the moment over here, but expect February to be cold. I'd recommend packing lots of layers so you're ready for anything. Gloves are a sure, and don't forget your umbrella. The tube from Hampstead is about half an hour. If you're going to be anywhere near Hampstead High Byway someone's cup of tea, make sure you go for crepes - a local institution and ever so yummy!

Enjoy London!
